Terms and Conditions

1.      By visiting and using this website (www.louisabarry.com) you are agreeing to its Terms and Conditions.

2.      All performance enquiries are treated individually and are bound to the agreement made at the time of booking.

3.      All bookings made through the booking system, social media, in person or through email enquiry are bound to the same Terms and Conditions.

4.      Louisa Barry reserves the right to refuse the coaching/teaching of a client.

5.      Any appointment cancelled within 72 hours of the time of commencement incurs the full fee of the appointment with no exceptions.  Unfortunately it will not be possible to offer you a reschedule of refund, even in the case of illness, if 72 hours’ notice has not been given.

6.      If you wish to reschedule outside the 72-hour policy, a reschedule of the appointment can occur within 6 months of the booked date. In the case of mild illness an online lesson (at the same price) will be offered as an alternative.

7.      Refunds are processed through Stripe, and so take up to 10 working days to arrive back in your bank account.

8.      Louisa Barry upholds the highest discretion and privacy and will not use the names of any clients unless express permission is granted.

9.      Anything said in the studio is non-medical advice. It is the sole responsibility of the client to follow up a ‘red flag’ with a qualified medical doctor.

10.   Louisa Barry is fully insured by BGi.UK.

11.   All online sessions are bound to the same T+C’s as in person sessions.

12.   Online sessions work very well, especially when the capacity for bandwidth is good at both ends. Therefore, it is suggested that you operate ‘plugged in’ where possible, or on super-fast, fibre-optic broadband Wi-Fi. Louisa Barry operates within these suggestions, and therefore any lag, delay or dropping out is assumed to be the fault of the student rather than Louisa Barry.

13.   An external microphone connected to a desktop or laptop computer is highly recommended for zoom lessons as opposed to a smartphone or tablet.

14.   Louisa Barry has a zero-tolerance policy in regard to inappropriateness in an online platform.

15.   In Zoom, your settings will be changed via guidance at the start of the session with Louisa. This helps optimise audio quality. 

16.   The Online session cannot be accompanied live, but recordings can be made and sent, only within the timeframe of the lesson, as one would operate in an in-person session. 

17.   All sessions are audio recorded and stored securely and anonymously at a safe location.

18.   Zoom sessions are video recorded and a safe link to the recording is sent to the client straight after the session. Once the video recording has been downloaded by the client it is deleted from Louisa Barry’s computer and not stored anywhere else.

19. Louisa Barry has a valid Enhanced DBS and is qualified to work with children. She also receives yearly Safeguarding Training.

20. To ensure the safety of all parties a parent or guardian may be asked to attend a session of a person under 18 years old.

21. By continuing to use this website and services, you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to check periodically for any changes with regards to the terms and conditions published on the website.
