Singing Teacher
Having vocal lessons with Louisa was and continues to be pivotal in my strength and technique as a singer. I am still gleaning off of what she taught me after many years. Her work with me was truly invaluable and whenever someone asks me to suggest a singing teacher, she is always my first recommendation!

Louisa Barry is a singing teacher and vocal coach with over 22 years of experience specialising in vocal health and voice habilitation – “the process of training the voice by developing endurance, strength and coordination.” (p.13, K.Ragan)
Her ethos is holistic and considers the whole person (body, mind, psyche) in which “the voice” resides. The basis of the work in her studio is human connection creating an alliance from which common goals can be achieved.
Although classically trained and with a deep understanding and passion for vocal anatomy and technique Louisa is equipped with knowledge and experience that can serve diverse musical genres such as classical, pop, music theatre, jazz, rock, folk.
She is passionate about being inclusive of all ages, styles, abilities, and backgrounds.
In between singing lessons, coaching sessions and choir rehearsals Louisa spends time in London Multidisciplinary Voice clinics gaining invaluable experience from observing patient care.
She has an enhanced DBS and she is a member of the Association of Teachers of Singing, the Incorporated Society of Musicians, the British Voice Association, Vocal Health Education and The Singing for Health Network.
